As a beginer to the knitting world, it is verry important to start off with the right matirials. For your first prodgect I would recomend a verry thick yarn, as thick as you can get it. Thicker yarn is easy to handle and doesn't take as much strength to move it the way you want it to. I would also recomend bamboo neadles. Some nice thick bamboo needles are perfect for beginers; they provide the right friction so the yarn doesn't fall off, and they are difficult to poke yourself with. Thick bamboo needles will go perfecly with your thick yarn, getting your one step closer to intermediat knitter.
